Ojai House by HERE modern Design

One of the most photographed and talked about homes in the Greater Los Angeles area is right in the heart of Ojai. Developed by Los Angeles architect and interior designer Kate Svoboda-Spanbock of Here Design, the property was apparently a nightmare to work with from the very beginning, and not because of the clients!
Long, narrow and sloping, the 1,600 square foot lot was studded with mature trees that could not be moved (not that anyone wanted to).  Even I am not an orange fan, I am one of those people who painted their living room in orange. This is not a paradox at all. For interior designs orange is one of the greatest colors because you can combine it with different other colors and styles.
Even if you choose a pale hue or go with a flashy orange, the effect will be amazing. The more eccentric ones can choose to gather orange and other contrasting colors for a more intense effect. Orange is very nicely combined with its complementary color, blue, but you should be very careful how you make this combination. A good result depends on the nuances, proportions, position or forms. This is gonna sound weird, but if gnomes were real and they had gnomes that really dug modern design we feel like this is the kind of home they’d live in. Maybe it’s that gorgeous green grass, but probably it’s the neat shape, and definitely it’s the cute and quirky interiors.

Located in Japan and designed by Torafu Architects, there’s such a wonderful airy-ness to the interior of this home, which is sort of surprising because the outside seems very intense; very heavy and strong and sturdy.
